This popular event took place in Glenmore, County Kilkenny last Sunday. This event also saw a large number of race walkers participating in this event, including our own John Laste as he prepares for the National Masters Track and Field Championships next month. John put in a great performance over this Classic distance when finishing 84th overall in 53 mins 52 secs, averaging 5.20 per km. this is his fastest time over this distance and like good wine, is improving with age.
