Munster Unevens Championship

The Munster Uneven Championships were held in Turnpike in true cross-country conditions on Sunday last the 31st of October. Fields of over 100 were commonplace on the day. The first race of the day was the u9 girls and here Judy O Donnell ran a fantastic race to place just outside the medals in 14th place. Both her team mates also ran brilliantly with Faye Hallinan placing 35th and Zoe Noctor in her first competitive race placing 48th. Judy was the second athlete home on the Tipperary team that finished fourth. Our sole competitor in the u9 boys race was Darragh Heaney and he ran brilliantly to place 38th. In the girls u11 race Ellie O Donnel put in a great performance to place 103rd. In the girls u13 Alice Meegan and Hannah Murray put in fine performances when finishing 89th and 103rd respectively. In the boys u13 race Darragh Boland and Harry Weymouth ran brilliantly to place 36th and 74th. Darragh was a counting member of the Tipperary team that finished 4th. In the girls u15 ran Meabh Meegan put in a great race to place 61st. In the girls u17 race Ruby Carroll ran brilliantly to place 29th and was a scoring team on the Tipperary team that took the bronze medals. In the boys u19 race Conor Flaherty ran brilliantly to place just outside the medal places in 14th position however he was a scoring member of the junior men’s team that won bronze medals. In the final race of the day for juvenile athletes the girls u19 saw Muireann Duffy 3rd and Celine Durand 11th ran brilliantly to win 2 medals each as individuals and scoring members on a silver Tipperary team. Muireann picked up her 3rd and 4th medals of the day as she was also successful in the junior ladies individual and Tipperary team.
