This popular event took place last Saturday and it was great to see the Club well represented in this event. The marathon consisted of 4 laps around a very good route with music along the route. Pride of place goes to Anne Marie Halpin who ran a brilliant race when finishing 26th overall in a very good time of 3 hours 20 mins 8 secs to win the women’s race, fantastic performance in only her 4th marathon. This was a massive improvement on her 2018 Dublin Marathon of 3 hours 27 mins 4 secs.
Then we had Eelco Beckers also running a brilliant race when finishing 29th in 3 hours 20 mins 28 secs. We also had very good performances from Anna Byrne 124th in 3 hours 52 mins 13 secs, Monica Lambe 288th in 4 hours 35 mins 47 secs and Annette Comerford 289th in 4 hours 35 mins 49 secs.
