Kevin Maunsell wins the Michael Cahill 5K

Ballingarry was the venue last Friday night for the annual Michael Cahill 10k road race. It was great to see the Club very well represented at this event with 21 Club members taking part. This race also marked a return to competition by Kevin Maunsell who has had a long lay off due to injury. Still it was great to see him back running well again on Friday night as he made every stride a winning one when coming home a very worthy winner in 15 mins 35 secs. We also had great running from Joey Feery 3rd in 16:47, Conor Ryan 4th in 16:59, Anthony Bowen 5th in 17:26, Brian Carroll 2nd 0/45 in 18:12, Angela McCann also ran very well when winning the women’s race in 18 mins 55 secs, Niall O Ceallaigh 2nd 0/50 in 19:16, Aine Roche 3rd women in 19:36, Anthony Power 2nd 0/55 in 20:42, Vincent McHugh 36th in 20:47, Sean O Dea 40th in 21:10, Michelle Doherty 1st 0/45 in 21:14, Neil Proven 44th in 21:37, Aisling English 46th in 21:44, Kenny Brett 47th in 21:46, Ned O Brien 52nd in 22:29, Tommy Cahill 65th in 23:52, Noel Howley 1st 0/70 in 24:04, John Laste 75th in 27:33, Jo Brett 77th in 27:45 and Myles McHugh was 1st 0/75 in 28 mins, brilliant running.
