The popular Piltown 5 Mile took place last weekend. Here we had Kealey Tideswell running very well when winning the woman’s race when finishing 12th overall in 30 mins 14 secs. Then we had Angela McCann also running very well when finishing 3rd woman in 17th in 31 mins 29 secs. We also had good performances from Nicola Maunsell 38th in 36 mins 59 secs and Pat Walsh 62nd in 48 mins 29 secs. Many of these athletes were running two races inside 24 hours as they were supporting two great local races, the Clogheen 5k and the Piltown 5 mile organised by the two local clubs Clonmel AC and Carrick on Suir AC, it is great to see club members supporting local races.
