St Jarlath’s College in Tuam was the venue for the National Walks last Saturday, 12th June where there was a full programme of events. Here the athletes like everywhere in Ireland last weekend had to face humid conditions. John Laste competed in the 5k walk and achieved a PB when finishing in 31 mins 48 secs over an undulating course, a brilliant start to the season.
