The Dara Fitzpatrick Memorial 5K took place last weekend at Waterford Regional Airport. Once again, this race attracted a brilliant entry with over 900 athletes competing. Aine Roche was back to defend her title and she put in a brilliant run when winning the women’s race in 19 mins 26 secs. Then we had Alan Carter also running very well when finishing 9th in 19 mins 37 secs. We also had good performances from Mary O Gorman 177th in 25:52 and Deirdre Fahey 282nd in 27:57.
