The Mooreabbey Milers 10-mile road race took place in Galbally last Sunday. Here athletes had to contend with warm weather right from the start and it was great to see the Club well represented in this the inaugural promotion of this event. Congrats to Moroeabbey Milers on a great promotion. Angela McCann ran a great race pacing herself well to come through over the final stages to win the women’s race when finishing 27th over all in 61 mins 37 secs. Then we had Joey Feery also running well when finishing 37th in 64 mins 39 secs. Then we had Sean O Dea running a good race when finishing 79th in 75 mins 43 secs. David Lorigan tackling this distance for the very first time and putting in a great effort when finishing 81st in 75 mins 51 secs. The County 10 miler will be promoted over this route on September 12th.
