Mooreabbey Milers 10-mile promotion was on last Sunday in Mediterranean type weather with temperatures in the 20s, still this did not deter our members for supporting this popular race. Angela McCann fresh from her win in Dungarvan last Friday night, kept that great spell of good performances going when coming home a very worthy and convincing winner of the women’s race in such demanding conditions. Her winning time was 66 mins 14 secs when finishing 12th overall. We also had great performances from Eelco Beckers 15th in 70 mins 41 secs, Aisling English was 5th woman home in 73 mins 39secs when 25th overall, Sean O Dea 27th in 74:47, David Lorigan 35th in 78:33, Kenny Brett 39th in 78:53, Michelle Doherty 41st in 80:42 and Anne Marie Davis 90th in 103:57. This course will also be used on the 31st July for the County Senior and Masters 10 Mile Road Championships.
