The Cork Marathon and Half Marathon took place yesterday in very warm conditions and it was great to see the Club well represented. In the Marathon David Ryan ran a brilliant race when finishing 19th over in 2 hours 49 mins 15 secs and in the process was 2nd over 45, brilliant running. We also had Grzegorz Kecik running in the Marathon and he ran well when finishing in 4 hours 8 mins 30 secs.
In the Half Marathon we saw a very welcome return to competition by Michelle Doherty and she ran very well when finishing 317th in 102 mins 11 secs. Then we had Cathy Mansfield breaking two hours for this Classic distance when finishing 1033rd in 1 hour 59 mins 54 secs. We also had very good performances from Shane Meade who was 1349th in 126 mins 16 secs and Bernie Hopkins 1392nd in 127 mins 21 secs, great running.
