The Autumn Cross Country Classic took place in Abbotstown last Sunday where top class competition was the order of the day. These races are great indicators of form for Junior, Senior and Mater athletes over the winter season, so competition was very competitive. The weather was favourable and underfoot conditions were good. In the junior women’s race Muireann Duffy underlined her good form when running a brilliant race to finish a very close 4th. We also had great performances from Emma Murray 13th and Laura Cooney 14th. In the Master women’s race Sarah Whelan ran very well when finishing 46th.
