The Viking series of races took place in Waterford last weekend with races over the marathon, Half marathon and Quarter Marathon distances. David Mansfield competing over the shorter distance ran very well when coming home a very convincingly winner of the Quarter marathon in 38 mins 10 secs. His two sisters, Emma Ryan and Cathy Mansfield competing in the Half Marathon put in two very good performances when finishing 480th (118 mins 38 secs) and 715th (132 mins 28 secs) respectively. In the Half Marathon Pat Walsh also ran very well when finishing 109 mins 21 secs. In the Marathon Victor Direen was our sole representative and he ran well when finishing in 4 hours 14 mins 19 secs.
