The Donedea Forest 50km race took place on Saturday last, 10th February and the Club was represented by two members, Vasiliy Neumerzhitskiy and Dan O Keeffe. Conditions were demanding on the 5k loop which had to be negotiated 10 times, tough going. These conditions didn’t deter our members, and both put in brilliant performances. Vasiliy who recently re-joined the Club is use to running these ultra-distances and last Saturday was no different. He ran very well when finishing 1st over 50 in 4 hours 9 mins 8 secs when 38th overall. Then we had Dan O Keeffe also running very well when finishing 115th in 4 hours 50 mins 55 sec, two very good performances.
