This popular event took place last weekend, and it was great to see Club members tackling this off-road route with great performances. None more so than Paul Minogue who put in a brilliant performance when covering this route in 96 mins 6 secs to come home a very worthy and convincing winner. Right from the start Paul made his intentions known as he set a strong pace on the upward section of the run. This pace saw him open a comfortable lead after 4 miles. With this lead he was able to negotiate the tough boggy parts of the run at his ease. He then picked up the pace again over the final few miles to win convincingly. Then we had Trevor Whelan also running a brilliant race when finishing 14th overall in 1 hour 57 mins 16 secs and 2nd over 40. Trevor has taken to the trail running with great purpose and has posted some good performances so far this year as he improves with every outing. Then we had his sister Sarah also running very well when finishing 35th in 2 hours 15 mins 5 secs.
