The weekend got off to a flying start with great performances in the Deadman’s 5 mile road race promoted by the Carrick on Suir road runners last Friday night. Jimmy Boland ran a great race when finishing 2nd in 25 mins 51 secs. This was a very good run by Jimmy who improved his time over this course by 2 mins 6 secs on his 2016 performance. We also had good performances from Keith O Brien 13th in 29:59, Niall O Ceallaigh 3rd 0/50 in 32:11, Barry Horgan 28th in 32:32, Elaine Horgan winning the 0/35 award in 34:24, Kenny Brett 51st in 36:11, Angela Walsh 58th in 37:32, Sareen Walsh 59th in 37:46, Emma Ryan 63rd in 38:05, Anna Byrne winning the 0/50 award in 38:09 and Jo Brett 89th in 44:43. To crown off a great evening’s racing our Senior Women’s team of Angela Walsh, Sareen Walsh and Emma Ryan won the inter Club Award.
