The Greenway Half Marathon took place yesterday and there were some very good performances from club members as they prepare for the Dublin City Marathon in October. Nigel O Flaherty ran well when finishing 25th in 84 mins 42 secs. Then we had Barry Horgan running well when finishing 48th in 89 mins 2 secs with Eddy O Donoghue 57th in 89 mins 47 secs. Rebecca Doocey ran a great race when winning the women’s over 35 award in 96 mins 21 secs. We also had good performances from Cormac Healy 138th in 98:52, Michael Doocey 146th in 99:39, John Griffin 148th in 99:35, Elaine Horgan is another athlete who is running very well at present and she moved up to the Half Marathon for the first time and ran very well when finishing 2nd woman over 35 in 99 mins 45 secs, Caroline O Donoghue 298th in 113:13, John Laste 357th in 118:19 and Bernie Hopkins also ran very well when winning the women’s over 60 award in 118 mins 57 secs.
