The 24th promotion of this popular event also took place last Friday night. Conditions were warm for the event but that didn’t hamper Club members who put in some very good performances. Like Keith O Brien who is beginning to enjoy his running after a lengthy lay off due to injury. Last Friday night he once again put in a great effort to win the over 40 award in a very good time of 18 mins 21 secs when finishing 10th overall. Then we had Sean McCarthy and Emmet Prendergast both running very well when finishing 25th (19:37) and 26th (19:43) respectively. We also had good performances from Barry Horgan 29th in 20:01, Pat Coffey 44th in 21:04, Elaine Horgan who ran very well when winning the women’s over 35 award in 21:17 and Tommy Cahill 97th in 24:44.
