This very popular race took place on the last Friday night in June in ideal conditions. Right from the start Evan was in the leading group and well positioned. He maintained that pace and then with 500m to go he increased the pace that saw him open a gap on the rest of the field. He maintained that strong surge all the way to the line to win very convincingly in 14 mins 53 secs. This was a brilliant performance by Evan.
