The annual Brickey 5K Road race took place in demanding conditions last Sunday. The pace was strong from the start with Evan Fitzgerald and Paul Minogue in the leading group from the start. As the race unfolded Evan was making great strides as he closed down on the long time leader. In a hectic run to the finish Evan was a brilliant 3rd in 15:48 just three seconds off the winner, great running. Paul Minogue also ran very well when finishing 6th in 16:42.
