The County Novice Cross Country Championships took place last Sunday in Newport and it was great to see the Club represented in both the Women’s 4K and the Men’s 6K races. In the Women’s race Sareen Walsh was our sole representative and she ran very well when finishing 6th. In the Men’s race despite a few late withdrawals we had a team competing and it was great to see them all running well. Paul Minogue ran very well when finishing 6th and then we had Anthony Bowen also running very well when finishing 14th. These two athletes were ably backed up some very good performances from Donal Ryan 25th, Pat O Connor 28th and Jonny Tobin 32nd and this squad combine very well to win the Inter Club Bronze medals. Greta to see both Donal and Pat winning medals at this level for the very first time.
