Great performances at County Indoor Championships
The County Indoor U13 to Junior Championships and the County Indoor U9 to U12 Championship took place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March in Nenagh’s Olympic Stadium and the club was well represented with 74 athletes competing over the 2 days, the largest entry for the club in recent history and the largest entry for any Tipperary athletic club.
Our outstanding performance over the 2 days was that of Ava Fennessy who amassed a big haul of medals winning Gold in the 60m Dash, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, 800m and U16 relay. Other multiple medals winners for Clonmel were Veerle Van Der Wal Gold in the relay, Silver in the Long Jump and Bronze in the Shot Putt, , Courtney McGuire Silver in the 1500m, Bronze in the 800m and Silver in the relay, Caoimhe Maunsell Silver in 800m and Silver in the relay, Elma Casey Gold in the 800m and Silver in the relay, Colm McCarthy Bronze in the 1500m and Silver in the relay,T.J. Quigley Silver in the 1500m and Bronze in the relay, Saoirse Treacy Silver in the 800m and Gold in the relay, Zoe Tierney Gold in the Silver 60m Dash and Bronze in the relay, Killian Whelan Bronze in the Gold 60m Dash and Bronze in the relay, Cian Flaherty Bronze in the Gold 60m Dash and Bronze in the Long Jump, Eimear Heafy Bronze in the High Jump and Bronze in the Long Jump,
