The Autumn Cross Country Challenge took place today at Abbotstown in ideal summer like conditions. In the Senior men’s race competition was very keen. Here Kevin Maunsell ran a great race, going out with the leaders he was well positioned throughout the race. At the end of the first lap he was in a group of athletes sharing the lead, this lead changed many times during the race over the five-lap course. Kevin maintained that strong pace to finish a very creditable 5th in 23 mins 19 secs, a brilliant start to his Cross-Country season.
