The Munster Master Track and Field Championships took place last weekend in Templemore and it was great to see club members competing very well. Alan Carter had a brilliant championship. He capped off a brilliant Silver lining day when winning Silver medals in the Men’s over 40 100m in 12.91 secs, Long Jump with a leap of 4.56m, Shot Putt with a throw of 8.51m by being crowned Munster over 40 400m Champion when powering down the finishing straight to win in a brilliant time of 59.89 secs. Pat Coffey also ran very well when finishing 3rd in the 400m over 55 in a very good time of 68.17 secs. Hazel Galloway once again produced her double winning Gold performances over 60 by running the 100m in 17.44 secs and the 200m in 36.99 secs, brilliant performances all round.
