The Club was very well represented in this year’s Dublin City Marathon. We had debutants like Kealey Tideswell, Aine Roche, Sarah Whelan, Mark Young all putting in brilliant performances and congrats on achieving such a goal. Then we had the experience marathon runners like Vasiliy Neumerzhitskily running a brilliant race when finishing 43rd in 2 hours 38 mins 16 secs to finish 3rd 0/40 in the national Championships, brilliant running, in the process he improve greatly on his 2008 time of 2 hours 47 mins 49 secs. Then we had Niall O Ceallaigh running a brilliant 2 hours 55 mins 16 secs a big improvement on his 2008 performance of 2 hours 59 mins 33 secs. Then we had Eoin McGrath running a brilliant 3 hours 12 mins 33 secs and in the process shattered his 2009 time of 3 hours 21 mins 17 secs. Frank Lynch brilliant performance saw him write new figures for the Classic distance when finishing in 3 hours 30 mins 31 secs. Deirdre o Shea also achieved a new PB when lowering her 2008 time by 4 mins 41 secs. Well done to all the above mentioned athletes on such performances and well done on raising large amounts of money for various Charities.
